A composite of eight chaotically arranged blue pine trees

For those who prefer something unusual with a traditional look of a Xmas tree, I decided to create this spillikins edition with eight individual trees. The material is based on an old photo of a blue pine. This coniferous tree is particularly beautiful in spring time, when the fresh immature cones are still red. Those look like the usual sphere decoration. This composite consists of various crops of a single photo on a black background. To further enhance the beauty, I converted the original image into a digital painting. Looks like an appealing greeting card or photo present for the Festive Season to me...

You may order the respective digital files directly from my SHOP on this website by adding the requested image to the shopping cart. My image licenses are governed by the General Terms & Conditions and the Agreement on Image Usage Rights. Please check this link for details before placing an order. Please note that photos until March 2010 have been taken on 24x36mm film (mostly Fujichrome 100 ASA slides, and 400 ASA for wildlife). These have been carefully converted into digital files using NIKON Coolscan 5000 ED and Adobe Photoshop Elements. Due to the original analogue source, a certain level of grain might be visible on large prints. In general, for sizes of 90x60cm and up, I would always recommend to choose the “Business High Resolution option”.
