"Urban Exploration" is a good term to describe one of my favourite activites whenever visiting any city. Just strolling around with my camera, but without a concrete plan on where to go. Instead, I tend to follow my instinct, and walk along interestingly looking roads. The idea is to spot ordinariy things, and then try to make them look special. A tele lens is quite important to zoom in on objects a bit further away. I found this geometric arrangement in the historic old town of Merida, Yucatan, Mexico

Please note that photos until March 2010 have been taken on 24x36mm film (mostly Fujichrome 100 ASA slides, and 400 ASA for wildlife). These have been carefully converted into digital files using NIKON Coolscan 5000 ED and Adobe Photoshop Elements. Due to the original analogue source, a certain level of grain might be visible on large prints. In general, for sizes of 90x60cm and up, I would always recommend to choose the “Business High Resolution option”.
